We are now looking for a nursing assistant for our operations at Stångågården elderly care home in Horn.

The job involves care and support work together with wonderful colleagues, where the individual is always at the center. Stångågården is Kinda municipality's smallest elderly care home, consisting of 18 apartments divided into two departments: Skogsgläntan with a somatic focus of 12 places and our small dementia-focused department Lyktan with 6 places. At Stångågården, you will work as care staff in both departments according to a rotating schedule.

We are a wonderful and dedicated team of employees who have a close and open dialogue with each other. In our daily work, we collaborate closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to ensure safe and high-quality care and support.

The team also includes two team leaders and an activity leader. Their mission is to strengthen quality, promote collaboration within the team, and contribute to offering the elderly meaningful daily activities.

Stångågården is located in a nature-friendly environment within walking distance to Horn's camping and center, making it easy and accessible for users to go outside. This also facilitates the staff in offering walks and outdoor activities. We have a pleasant inner courtyard where we spend as much time as possible outdoors with the elderly.

The elderly care SÄBO in Kinda municipality uses Life Care as a documentation system and Phoniro as a safety alarm system.

Your tasks

Your tasks consist of providing care, help, and support to the elderly based on their individual needs and creating a meaningful everyday life for them. You will place great importance on working according to the value base that is based on the individual's wishes, needs, and abilities. Your mission is to be a professional practitioner who works to strengthen the individual's abilities and resources so that they experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. You will also actively work with contact person responsibilities, implementation plans, documentation, and quality registers. The position will be on the dementia-focused department, but you are also expected to work on the somatic department based on the needs of the operations and will have your introduction in both departments.

Requirements for the position:

We are looking for a nursing assistant. It is advantageous if you have specialized training in dementia care/multimorbidity/palliative care. Previous experience in elderly care is preferred. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Since the work involves contacts with the elderly, relatives, and colleagues as well as documentation, you need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms. It is advantageous if you hold a B driver's license.

We expect you to have personal and professional maturity with good self-awareness. You have a positive attitude and see your obvious responsibility to contribute to a good working climate. You are happy to share your knowledge and experiences while being open and willing to learn from others. You are attentive and open to seeing our users' needs and have great respect for your fellow human beings. You should be flexible and able to work throughout the operations at the residence if the need arises. We place great importance on good collaboration with users, relatives, colleagues, and management.
